A Discussion

In this discussion, we will talk about how to plan your rigid heddle projects.  We will explore how to choose yarns for the outcomes you want. What do those numbers mean when a pattern asks for 3/2 or 10/2? What yarn makes a good weaving yarn? Is it ok to use this yarn or that for a warp? Maybe you would like to use your handspun yarns in a project.  What effect does the reed size have on the finished cloth and yarn you use?  Are you unsure on what you are looking for in a pattern or color choice? How about how to sample for outcomes? And most important question, how much yarn will you need to make your project? We will learn how to use a project planning sheet to establish the quantity of warp and weft yarns are required to get you to the finish line.

This class will be a lecture and discussion type class.
