Join Kaity in knitting the Bojagi shawl! This class will cover multiple techniques including:
-Choosing color combinations
-Mosaic knitting
-Lace Knitting
-Cabling (with or without a cable needle)
-i-cord edging
-(optional) chart reading

Materials:
2 skeins of fingering weight yarn in contrasting colors (more colors can be added- talk to Kaity about how!) Check out our Life in the Longgrass silky skeins, they would be perfect! (Kits available) *YARN MUST BE PURCHASED FROM YARN CLUB*
Size US 6 and US 7 needles- it's recommended to use 24" or 32" circular needles though the shawl will be knit flat
Multiple stitch markers to mark lace repeats
Cable needle (optional- cabling can be done without a needle but if you're new to cabling a needle is recommended)
Darning needle
Snips (scissors)
Dates: *all classes will be 11:30am-12:30pm in-person at the Yarn Club
Monday, June 6th- cast on and start garter section
homework- complete garter section
Monday, June 13th- Mosaic section
homework- complete mosaic section
Monday, June 20th- NO CLASS
Monday, June 27th- Lace section
homework- complete lace section (can move on to mosaic section if comfortable)
Monday, July 4th- NO CLASS
Monday, July 11th- Mosaic section 2
homework- complete mosaic AND garter section in preparation for binding off
Monday, July 18th- i-cord bind-off
homework- block, take pictures, and bring it into the shop to show it off!
Cost:
$75 + cost of materials. Remember that yarn used for this project MUST be purchased from Yarn Club- see Kaity for help picking out yarn bases and colors to meet your aesthetic, material preferences, and desired price point.
