Ladderback Jacquard Colorwork Knitting Class
Ready to elevate your colorwork? Join us in exploring the versatile ladder back jacquard technique! This class is perfect for knitters with a foundational knitting background. Colorwork knowledge is a plus, and we’ll be following along with an easy-to-read chart. Ladderback jacquard is ideal for projects with high-contrast colors where you don’t want floats showing through the fabric. It can be used in any colorwork project with floats, making it a game-changer for both appearance and durability.
This class has Homework. Please see below and come to class with this section finished.
The pattern: we are working on the Passerine Hat . Please download the pattern and print the chart prior to class.
Materials: please bring stitch markers, US size 2 and 3 16-inch circular knitting needles, and two contrasting colors of fingering-weight yarn approximately 52 yards for the contrasting and 160 yards of main color. I’ll be using Blue Sky Woolstok Light, but Sheep Graffiti sock yarns work beautifully too!
Homework: Please come with the ribbing and the first two rows in the main color done and we will work on the third round together.
